So, they're actually going with THIS image for the final t-shirt art.

If it looks a little rough, that's 'cause it is--this was my first sketch for the design... I didn't even thumbnail it out before whipping this sucker out. I didn't rule the lettering, which means it's a little more "organic" than I would've liked, but then again, the drawing itself has a little more energy because I was drawing straight with pen.

I'll post pics of the shirt when they come in.

This is the final illo for the front of this year's Big Daddy K's Phat Pool Tournament.

That's a very fore-shortened Mercury Cougar that I'm not totally happy with, but whatever.

This is my "crazy ball" or "monster ball" illo for the Big Daddy K's Phat Pool Tournament t-shirt back. Take a look, you can see where I've applied white out--I do sometimes forget that I'm left-handed and smudge some not-so-dry paint or ink.

Night Stocker and Fatt Cat

A sketchbook page featuring not one, but TWO fantastic concepts.

Night Stocker is about a Stock Boy who works the night shift in a post-apocalyptic Grocery Store, defending it from gangs of Punks (correctly predicted in the 1980s to be the most frightening miscreants of the Future).

Fatt Cat is about, well, a fat cat. He eats stuff he shouldn't, like batteries, and then throws up. And that's about it.

I've got something planned for Night Stocker... we'll see if I ever make anything out of Fatt Cat.

Yes, you read right... this is one from my personal Vault--a Scurvy Dogs pinup from great artist, and great guy, Brandon McKinney.

I got to see him in San Diego, and it reminded me of his pinup piece. We received it late, and so it never made it into the book, but take a look for yourself, it's awesome.
